Our Code of Conduct

KILLCARRICK RIDING CLUB

CODE OF CONDUCT FOR CLUB MEMBERS

 

Killcarrick Riding club is a member of the Association of Irish Riding Clubs (AIRC), West Leinster Region, and operates in accordance with AIRC organizational structures and rules of competition.  The Club shares the AIRC goals which are “encouraging riding as a sport and recreation, to promote good fellowship among riders, and to improve and maintain the standard of riding and horsemanship.”

 

As a member of Killcarrick Riding Club, I hereby undertake to:

 

  • Treat all members within Killcarrick Riding Club, members of other clubs, and officials across the AIRC organization with respect and courtesy at all times and in all communications, including social media posts.
  • Abide by the decisions of the Club’s Chairman and elected officials and by the AIRC rules of competition and the decisions of judges and club officials at competitions.
  • Contribute to maintaining the Club ethos of enjoying our horses and sport in an atmosphere of camaraderie, positivity and fairness, and help to support the Club’s participation in local, regional or national competitions, by competing and/or volunteering.
  • Promote the interests of the Club and safeguard its good reputation in dealings with individuals and organization’s outside it.

 

I understand that a substantial breach of any part of this Code may result in suspension/non-renewal of membership.
